Many homeowners think there is no need to clean the floor after painting. What to wash
After staining, the floor is washed with warm water for a week after all the layers have dried. The most suitable remedies for this are homemade sour kvass or ordinary vinegar.
The vinegar
To prepare a mixture that must be washed on the floor, add no more than 1 cup of vinegar to warm water (5 liters). After that, the product will be completely ready for cleaning the painted floor.

Homemade sour kvass
After painting, the floor can be washed with homemade kvass. Dissolve kvass (1 l) in a bucket of hot water. It's better if it's very acidic. The coating is washed with this solution several times for 7 days every day. If you process the floor with such a tool, it becomes brighter, its service life increases.
Washing instructions
Before washing the floor after painting it, you will need to make sure that the paint is completely dry. How long the paint chosen for tinting will dry, you can find out by reading the instructions printed on the jar in which it is sold. The manufacturer specifies the period of time during which a layer of paint and varnish dries. If there is no such information, then in any case it is impossible to wash the floor until a week later.
Treating the painted surface with homemade kvass or vinegar will not be enough. It needs regular cleaning and washing. And sometimes you have to rub it to shine.

- carry out regular wet cleaning so that a lot of mechanical damage does not appear due to exposure to dirt, sand and dust;
- for dry cleaning with a vacuum cleaner, it is necessary to take nozzles with a soft-fiber brush; when using a hard brush, mechanical damage, scratches may be caused;
- do not use products containing chemical components and solutions with soap, this can cause the coating to peel off and the paint to fade and lose its luster.
Wet cleaning of a painted floor is not difficult and takes a lot of time. Its implementation facilitates the maintenance of the coating in the future.
What you should not do
Do not walk on the treated floor immediately after staining. Also, do not use cleaning products containing abrasive particles that will damage the smooth surface of the painted surface.
Do not add soda, powder or soap to the water. They are harmful to painted surfaces.

Care of painted floors should not be limited to wet cleaning with vinegar or homemade kvass. You will need to regularly clean the surface from dust, wash it and gently rub it without applying strong physical exertion. In order not to spoil the painted coating and not harm your health, you should adhere to the following rules for its care:
- Using a special emulsion, which makes the floor shiny, will help protect the surface and improve its appearance. Use such a tool by spraying a dust-free surface. After that, the emulsion is rubbed with a clean cloth or using a sponge. The emulsion is applied in several layers (no more than twice a month).
- After washing the painted areas with a solution of vinegar, you can rub them with a special agent containing putty or use wax. When the treated coating is completely dry, a glossy film appears on it. It not only gives the floor an attractive look, but also protects it.
- For wet cleaning, it is allowed to use a special solution prepared by hand.To do this, add a few tablespoons of ammonia to a 10-liter bucket. If you use such a mixture, the coating will have a beautiful shine for a long time.
- To clean the painted floor, you need to use a vacuum cleaner to get rid of dust in hard-to-reach places more easily (cleaning pores and crevices).
- Daily wet cleaning is recommended. To do this, use an ordinary damp cloth. You will need to pay special attention to the places where the greatest amount of dirt accumulates (under the furniture).
Over time, the layer of paint on the floors becomes thick due to several stains and loses its protective and decorative properties. If it is already in this state, you will need to clean it using special detergents.
Sometimes grease is accidentally spilled on the floor. To remove it easily, you will need to moisten the stain with cold water. This way it will be much easier to remove when it hardens.
