How to make a mud cloud yourself is interesting for children and, of course, for their parents. Stress relief toys are now at their peak. - bora;
- sodium tetraborate.
The formula of the substance (sodium salt of boric acid) is Na₂B₄O₇. Do transparent mud, you need a third component - water. Without it, the mucus will be dull and less elastic. An optional ingredient is a colorant. To stain the mucus, take acrylic paint, gouache, food coloring.
In the online store you can buy special pigment and different fillers for slime:

- polystyrene;
- artificial snow (instant snow).
Recipe
You need to prepare a plastic container, a spoon and 8 components in order to make high quality cloud slime at home:
- artificial snow;
- PVA glue - 100 ml;
- shaving foam - 20 ml;
- foam for washing - 5 ml;
- hair mousse - 5 ml;
- baby oil - 5 ml;
- tetraborate - 2-3 drops;
- the water.
First, pour the glue into the cup, then add all the ingredients except water and snow. Mix the ingredients well. There are instructions on the packaging of the artificial snow. You need to read it and fill the powder with the required amount of water.
When the snow grows, add it to the mass. You can also add a few drops of acrylic paint. Choose the color as you like. For aroma, add 1-2 drops of essence. In order not to overdo it with snow, it is better to add it in small portions, kneading and stretching the slime with your hands. The mass is ready when the mucus structure becomes pleasant.
How to cook without snow
Slime can be made without artificial snow and even without sodium tetraborate. For the first time, slime can be made from what you have at home. The shelf life of such a toy is short, but the cost is also low.
Take:
- cold water - 150 ml;
- starch - 75 g;
- PVA glue - 60 ml;
- acrylic paint (3-4 drops);
- freezer zip bag.
Pour the starch into a container of small volume, add water to it, knead the mass until homogeneous, pour into a bag. Pour dye and glue into it. Close the closure of the bag, mix its contents until thickened. If excess liquid forms, drain it. Take out the mud.
Great cloud slime can be made without snow, if you have diapers at home take:
- PVA glue;
- dye (acrite paint);
- sodium tetraborate (activator);
- filling for one layer (hydrogel).
Pour some glue into a glass (plastic) cup. Add a few drops of acrylic paint. Stir with a spoon until a homogeneous color is obtained. Add a thickener (sodium tetraborate). Knead the mass. It should become elastic and not stick to your hands. Take out the contents of the layer, select the hydrogel from it. Stretch the mucus, add a small part of the gel, knead it into the mass.Repeat the operation several times until you obtain the desired structure of the slime.
Storage and Usage Rules
If the stress relief toy is stored at room temperature, it will begin to shrink in size. To store slime, you need to select a small container with a lid so that the child can put it in the refrigerator.
There are no substances hazardous to health in the composition of cloud mud, but babies under 3 years old should not play with it.
At this age, children often drop toys on the floor, pull them into their mouths. Older children should wash their hands after playing, monitor the surface of cloud mud, it should be clean. You can wash the anti-stress toy under the tap.
Tips & Tricks
Crumpling, stretching slime is pleasant if the mass does not stick to your hands. In the summer, due to the heat, the toy begins to stick, you need to drip 2 drops of activator to restore firmness and elasticity. Sodium tetraborate is generally used. They sell it in pharmacies, it is an antiseptic, its base is boric acid.
Another problem is that the mud breaks because the mass has lost its elasticity and has become hard. In this case, it will help:
- microwave, the toy can be heated for 10 seconds;
- baby cream;
- glycerin - 1 drop.
Good quality mucus is supported by table salt:
- add it to the mass (a little);
- put the toy in a container;
- pour in 1 teaspoon. the water;

- shake several times;
- knead the mass.
