Conventional paints or primers do not help protect surfaces from corrosion in harsh environments. In such a situation, special substances that are highly resistant to aggressive chemicals are needed. One of these tools is considered a type of enamel HS-759. This substance is used for painting wagons, tanks, machine tools, pipelines.
Description and purpose of the composition
This enamel is highly resistant to chemicals. The suspension contains components such as vinyl chloride copolymers, plasticizers, pigments. There are also organic solvents, vinyl acetate, epoxy resins in the enamel.
It is sold in a two-component form which includes a main compound and a hardener. The main color range is from white to gray. In addition, there are additional shades - brown, yellow, blue, blue. The range includes green and red tones.
The enamel is used for application to the exterior elements of freight cars or tanks. It is allowed to be used for painting equipment. The composition is well suited for reinforced concrete or metal structures that are exposed to mineral acids, salts, alkalis or hazardous gases. This also applies to other chemical reagents whose temperature does not exceed +60 degrees.The composition can be applied under other types of enamels.
The advantages of the material are:

To dilute XC-759 enamel, R-4 solvent is used. P-4 is also used to clean hands and tools from staining. It is also acceptable to use technical acetone or toluene.
Application rules
The dye is included in the complex protective coating. In this case, there are the following options:
- XC-759 - up to 30 micrometers in 2 to 4 coats;
- primer XC-059 - up to 25 micrometers in 1-2 layers;
- Varnish HS-724 - up to 25 micrometers in 1-2 coats.
The coating should be 70 to 150 micrometers thick. The approximate cost of enamel for 1 layer is 140-170 grams per square.
At the same time, 1 liter of substances is needed for 6-8 meters. At +20 degrees, the substance remains viable for 8 hours.
For the application of the substance to be correct, it is recommended to follow these rules:
- Prepare the metal for painting in accordance with GOST 9.402. In this case, descaling is the second step and degreasing is the first.
- The ingredients of the composition must be combined, following the instructions. At the same time, it is recommended to mix the composition for at least 10 minutes. If necessary, the substance must be diluted. Viscosity settings should not exceed 25 seconds.
- The permissible operating temperature range should be -10 to +30 degrees.
- Humidity settings should not exceed 80%.
- The metal to be painted must have a temperature of +3 degrees above the condensation parameters.
- It is not recommended to use enamel near open flames.
- Apply material outdoors or in a well-ventilated area. It must be uninhabited.
- It is imperative to use personal protective equipment. These include gloves and a respirator.
- It is better to paint the surfaces with enamel with a spray gun. Some areas and small areas can be painted with a brush.
At +20 degrees, the drying time of the layer to stage 3 is 1 hour, up to 4 - 24 hours. It is allowed to apply the next layer after 1 hour.
Precautions for use
HS-759 enamel is considered flammable. Therefore, it is strictly forbidden to use the substance near sources of fire. It is recommended to dye with adequate ventilation. It is worth doing this with rubber gloves. The use of other means of protection is also important.
It is important to avoid enamel penetration into the respiratory and digestive organs.If the composition comes into contact with the body, it is recommended to wash this area with warm water and soap.
Storage conditions and periods
When storing and using enamel, the following rules must be observed:
- the permissible transport temperature is -35 to +35 degrees;
- store the composition at temperatures from -30 to +30 degrees;
- a place protected from water, fire sources, sunlight is suitable for storage;
- It is recommended to store the composition in an airtight container - it is better to use the original packaging.
The manufacturer gives a 6 month warranty. After the end of this period, the dye can only be used after appropriate tests.
