Basic recipes
There are several recipes for making slime, which contain boric acid or sodium tetraborate.
Soap mass
One of the simplest recipes. To prepare the toys, you will need:
- laundry soap;
- ordinary stationery glue;
- Hot water;
- boric acid solution.
First, part of the laundry soap (1/3 piece) is crushed into chips and poured with boiling water until it is completely dissolved. Water needs 75-100 milliliters. Then 150 milliliters of glue and 10-15 milliliters of ready-made aqueous or alcoholic solution of boric acid are added to this mixture. The mixture mixes well, if necessary, boric acid is added dropwise to the composition. If you don't add dyes to the substances in the slime, you get a fun transparent slime.Laundry soap can be replaced with liquid soap, washing gel, shampoo or dishwashing liquid.
Shower gel is not suitable for this purpose - slime just won't work.
soda toy
To make a slime, take a tablespoon of baking soda and water to make a thick slime after mixing. In the prepared container, mix a bottle of stationery glue, 2 tablespoons of hot water and a teaspoon of dry boric acid or 10-15 milliliters of a drugstore alcohol solution. After that, you need to add soda gruel to the mixture and mix the finished composition thoroughly until it thickens.

For a glueless slime recipe, you need a thick shampoo (30 milliliters). Also in the composition of such a toy - 2 teaspoons of baking soda and boric acid and 3 tablespoons of warm water. Soda should be mixed with boric acid, and water should be added. The porridge is added to the shampoo, the finished composition is stirred until a thick homogeneous mass is obtained. For color, you can add a little acrylic paint, gouache to the mixture. To prevent the slime from sticking to your hands while mixing, you can place it briefly in the freezer.

A container of toothpaste is placed in boiling water, which is heated by the boiling water surrounding it. The dough is mixed intensively.

Precautionary measures
Boric acid and its solution should not be taken orally, it leads to intoxication. Glue and other components of homemade slime are not completely harmless, so they should not be given to children with allergic reactions and dermatological problems. Such toys are not suitable for young children, who can suck the mud into their mouths and poison themselves. Be sure to wash your hands after playing.
How to store
Homemade slime should be kept in a tightly closed container and removed only for the duration of the game. Care should be taken to ensure that the youngest members of the family do not access the toy. After 2-3 weeks of use, the slime begins to shrink in size and dry out, losing its elasticity.
Tips & Tricks
The slime can go greasy stains on the wallpaper or furniture - don't bang it against the wall. Dust accumulates on the toy; periodically you need to rinse it under cold running water. Keep mud away from food.
