Superglue is a cyanoacrylate-based substance that has the ability to firmly bind various materials together. It is an irreplaceable thing in everyday life, to use it you do not even need to know the composition of the parts to be glued. Adding soda improves the bonding process; during the interaction of substances, the mixture heats up. Superglue and baking soda, when used together, demonstrate increased bond strength and faster bonding of parts.
Varieties of superglue
Miracle glue was developed in the USA in the 50s of the last century. Gained worldwide popularity due to the speed and reliability of combining dissimilar substances into a strong, indestructible whole.
All varieties of superglue contain 97-99% cyanoacrylate and additives that improve the properties:
- thickeners;
- curing activators;
- activators of elasticity, adhesion and water resistance.
